Terms of use

Foster Circle (“we,” “the service”) is a free community bulletin board that lets foster families post practical needs and lets volunteers offer to meet them. We connect people. We do not provide care, transportation, childcare, or any other service ourselves.

• We do not vet, screen, background-check, or verify volunteers or families. A volunteer's tier is self-reported. A family's account is checked only to confirm they are a foster family before posting.
• We do not supervise any help arranged through the service. Every decision to accept help — and every decision to give it — is made by the people involved, consistent with Tennessee DCS policy and the family's own caseworker.
• We do not process payments and are not a party to any payment arrangement between members.

• You are at least 18 and provide accurate information.
• You follow the community guidelines, including never naming or picturing a child.
• If you are a foster family, you confirm with your caseworker before accepting any help that involves unsupervised contact with a child, and you remain responsible for every decision about the children in your care.
• If you are a volunteer, you honestly represent your qualifications and comply with all applicable laws and DCS requirements.

You use Foster Circle at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foster Circle and the people who run it are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from help arranged through the service, from the conduct of any member, or from your reliance on any information on the service. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.

Coordinators may suspend or remove any account at any time, for any reason, without notice — the safety of foster children comes before anyone's access to a bulletin board. You can delete your account by emailing us.
