About Foster Circle

Built in the Tri-Cities of Northeast Tennessee by a foster family, for foster families.

Foster Circle — Connecting Community & Foster Families

Why this exists

Placement night is chaos. A child arrives with a trash bag and the family's week disappears. Everyone around them wants to help and nobody knows how — so they bring a casserole once and then feel awkward asking again. Meanwhile the foster parent won't ask, because asking feels like admitting they can't handle it.

Foster Circle makes the ask easy and the answer visible. A family posts what would actually help. Neighbors who've already said “I want to be useful” see it and claim it. Nobody has to be brave twice.

Three sites, one circle

Foster Circle is the third of three volunteer-built sites for the foster community:

  • FosterPath.org — benefits and support programs for foster parents, in every state.
  • AfterFoster.org — federal programs for youth aging out of care.
  • FosterCircle.org — the village around a foster home.

All three are free, carry no ads, and are run as a goodwill project — not a business.

What we believe

  • The people who keep kids safe already exist. Don't replace them; serve them.
  • Reveal as little as possible, as late as possible.
  • A child's privacy is never a feature trade-off.
  • Most help is a casserole. Make the casserole easy.
